Job Description
Operates and maintains the 100 MW gas turbine generating unit, all electrical and electronic equipment, and other plant facilities at the Culbertson Generation base load station. The incumbent may be assigned to Lonesome Creek or Pioneer Station when it becomes necessary.
Required Skills
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have electrical/instrument/mechanical or operational experience and skills at a level obtained through completion of a two-year degree program and three years of operating industrial or coal-based power plant experience or five years operating industrial or coal-based power plant experience. Within one year, must obtain the training and testing necessary to become qualified to perform switching orders and qualified for pipeline operations and maintenance. Background and experience with process control systems is required. Experience with General Electric Mark Vie Processors, ToolboxST and the Cimplicity HMI would be beneficial.
Required Experience
This position requires continuous sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching; frequent bending, kneeling, and using keyboard/computer; and occasional crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This position requires finger dexterity, good color vision and good hearing. Working conditions may frequently include chemicals and noise; and occasionally extreme heat and cold, dirt and dust. This position must be respirator qualified.
